PHP Code Tester App Reviews

I cant use the app, when I run it it crashes. So I run it in the web browser, and re-launch it constantly (at least the developer will have crash reports... !)

Having MAMP installed this tool does not even process simple codes as echo "hello" and simply times out :-( Would be a great tool if itworked!

Does now work as expected without crashing beeing able to do anything. I would rate 5 stars, but gave only 4 because of waiting months for beeing able to use it now for the first time.

This is a quick and easy app to help you quickly hash out some PHP code. Runs quickly and painlessly in plaintext or your web browser! Very good for students learning PHP or those who want to fiddle. Reminds me of jsfiddle, but for PHP. Neat tool, and really approachable for those learning PHP. The best feature is that there is no need to run a local webserver, transfer files, etc, just two panes - source and output. Theres a direct correlation betwen what youre writing and what you see as output. Features Id like to see: - syntax highlighting and maybe different colour themes - output HTML to a browser of your choice (when I use the Run in browser feature, it uses my default .html app, which isnt a browser, but an editor) - perhaps save/load/share functionality - send your snippet to a friend to look at - code completion/PHP linter? maybe a bit overkill for this app, but because its PHP-specific, I cant see that it would be terribly difficult to get working - last but not least, integration with php.net in a side panel (web browser) to look up the function names and their arguments. (perhaps bundle it with the app for offline viewing?) All in all, its great at what it does, and it also has potential to grow into much more. Thanks!

Every time I hit run, no matter what I enter into the box (or don’t enter in), it crashes and will lose whatever was entered. This is completely unusable and a waste of money. I want a refund.

Honestly didnt know about the terminal shortcut before reading the description, so I used to build a test page on a live server to test code. I really am glad to have found this. Very nice job on this build. *hoping for colored code in the future* - will keep me from making errors while writing it :)

The HTML mode needs a bit of work. Be nice to output to safari. Also be nice if I could include some setup files.. then run code. I hope the developer continues deveoping this. I see a bright future if that happens. Over all a damn fine app that does excatly what it says it does. Bravo.

Exactly what you think it is. Simple, effective, and well worth the cost of admission.

Very simple app, does just what it says it does. There are a couple of things that would make it much more useful though. 1. Syntax hilighting. 2. Saving and opening files.

This program is great for a quick test when you dont feel like FTPing to your server or setup a local PHP instance on your computer. Incredibly convenient!

This is one of the most useful apps I own. I use it at least once a day. Recommendations: - Syntax highlighting - File opening - File saving - FTP integration

I only wish that this had syntax highlighting, then it would be a five star app.

It crashes all the time. Doesnt output error messages to the console.

It works well for testing code quickly, however, I absolutely hate that I cannot copy and paste the results in the main window. I use the app to sometimes generate text that I need to use elsewhere and Im constantly reminded that I have to click Run in Web Browser to select the text. The only problem is that now Chrome is not opening my results. Please add text selection to the PHP Tester results view.

Its simple and so on, but there are no useless functions like list of files to choose required, no any highlighting of code. For very little programms its good, but no more. Thanks.

An excellent tool to develop quick and dirty PHP scripts in a wysiwyg environment. Its is a handy, simple, and versatile editor in writing PHP code, as well as HTML on your MAC. I look forward in seeing added features and functionalities to this product in the near futre like save/open file buttons.
